Welcome!

I hope you enjoy painting, crafting and paper crafting as much as I do! My favorite thing is to be able to create fun and useful crafts for gifts, for sale or just for my own enjoyment. I simply love crafting!

If you would like to learn any of the techniques used on my website or wish to purchase any similar items, please feel free to contact me. I’d so enjoy being able to share with you!

Spring is on it’s way, and there’s no shortage of things to do!

Painting more greeting cards and spring décor items has been a nice escape from the cool weather.  I’ve fired up the kiln again and have some new fused glass pendants to add to my collection.  I’ve also added some cute wire-wrapped bugs and a few other items.  Paper crafting has been a lot of fun lately, too.  I have the new Cricut Maker and really love it!  So little time….so many fun crafts!  🙂

Looking forward to spring!

This has been a long winter in the midwest!  I’m looking forward to some spring craft shows and my artists club auction.  Just starting to get busy painting and hopefully soon to dig out the kiln for the jewelry. I’m attaching here a picture of a table that will be in the auction.1394053068505

Is it really fall already?!

The air is definitely a little cooler and the clouds have changed to that “fall look”!  This is a beautiful time of year! Lots of color everywhere!  What better time to think about painting!  Inspiration is everywhere, from the fall leaves, to the beautiful mums –even the fading colors of the garden.  It’s nature’s palette at it’s best.

I thought you may enjoy a very simple project.  Super easy pumpkins to paint!  Instructions are posted for you on the Free Instructions page or click Pumpkin Garden Instructions.

Spring has sprung!

We have certainly been ready for spring and it looks like it is finally here!   I belong to the Shades of the Mississippi River Decorative Artists club.   It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about different styles of art and have fun with a lovely group of ladies!  Earlier this month I had the opportunity to attend a seminar with Bobbie Takashima.  She is a wonderful teacher and does a lot with fantasy-type painting.  I had never done this before, but thoroughly enjoyed it!  Here are a couple of pictures for you to see.
